(Every one it's me the author. I am sorry if you don't like my English and I might not be good because I am a student who's still in high school. And the male protagonist's name Adam is pronounced as {Aadam}
I hope you like this chapter as well.)
Adam
I look at Samreen, who has been clawing her small dirty paws at me and for that, I want to break her jaw. Something that I can do easily but if I do that, Dad might not like that. Damn, of course, he won't like that as she is his best friend's daughter.
The marriage is scheduled on two weeks away from today. I don't understand why do I need to marry Samreen, that too unwillingly just because she is Dad's best friend's daughter.
I don't know why Walid is so ready to marry off his daughter to me and damn sure, there's a intention behind this.
Walid is the best friend of Dad, the leader of the underground Mafia group in our country named... I can't remember the name...um... Oh yeah, The Mafiadom. But still, my mafia is stronger than his.
I would have bring the Mafiadom down till now when they looted the ship which had the cash for the exchange of drugs but Dad stopped saying that they are our people and then, I got to know that he did that to drag my attention towards him. Because he was interested in me as he wanted to marry off his daughter to me.
Why is Dad pushing me into this?
My attention goes back to Samreen when I feel Samreen's feet touching my feet under the round white-clothed table. I glared at her, with a warning in eyes. But still, she keeps playing with my feet.
When Dad nudges me to go to the stage for the ring ceremony, I roll my eyes and unwillingly tell Samreen 'Let's go to the stage for the ring ceremony.'
I get up from the chair and was about to move forward, when Samreen holds her hand in front of me. I stare at her hand for a while and unwillingly slide my hand into hers.
I walk up the stage which now had the spotlight settled on us. Dad stood behind me and behind him, a staff holding the ring plate. Same behind Samreen. Her father. Then a staff holding the ring plate.
She happily slides the californium plain ring on my ring finger. Damn, I really don't want to do this. Dad hands me the californium ring that has a diamond in its centre with two initials engraved on its inside, I look closely. A& S.
Dad lightly pushes my arm to the front, then I realise I need to put the ring on Samreen's ring finger. I look at the annoying girl sitting in front of me, she looks back, almost glaring and waiting.
I had slid the ring halfway only, when my phone started ringing. I was about to pick up the phone call, leaving the ring midway of her finger but Dad pushes my arm forward, the ring finally inside her finger.
The photographer was about to click a picture but I walked down the stairs, picking up the phone call, because I knew, who and why that person has called me.
'You got him, Joseph?' I ask, my voice cold and too deadly to make one run to the hills.
'Yes, boss. In the basement of The Symphony.' Joseph replies, as I hear some muffled voices in the background.
'Ten minutes.' I say and hang up before he could say something.
I look at Dad, who is telling Samreen to calm down and be happy as it's her engagement. She glares at me, as I smirk and walk away.
I open the door of my black mercedes, hop in and drive away.
I stop in front of the Symphony, which is my pub, as I enter, the guards bow.
I straight head towards the basement, loosening my black tie, eventually, untying it and tying it on my right hand. Only a few stairs where left, when I unbuttoned a few buttons of my black shirt.
As I walk in the l long hallway which has white tiles, I spot Joseph who walks behind me leading me to the room where Khalid was tied to a chair.
I grin widely when I find his eyes widen in complete fear.
I lean in front of him to eye level.
'Long time no see, Khalid.' I say in my deep voice.
He tries to say something but his voice gets muffled because of the cloth tied on his mouth. I look at Joseph, still grinning. He nods, and removes the cloth off Khalid's mouth.
"I-I-I reall-really d-didn't leak t-the information."He stutters.
"Did I ask you if you did that or not?" I say, walking towards the table which had tools spread on it. I take the white gloves and wear them. I pick up the pliers from the table and walk towards him with a dark grin on my lips.
